What G Town Baseball is Seeking
We are looking for players who come with a great attitude, are open to learning, and have a great team environment attitude. Our goal is to keep honing the skills of players already playing at club level and to recruit the baseball fanatics who show they have the skills to play club level. If that sounds like your player, please keep reading and sign-up for an open practice/tryout. We do not want to waste your time or ours so that is why we are putting all information out including costs for your consideration. The majority of clubs do not like to discuss costs upfront, we are different.
League Play In The Winter - Why Your Boy Should Play
Our season will be competing against other AA level teams in fast paced, competitive league play. We will play a minimum of 8 games over 8 Saturdays, with practices during the week (2 practices per week).
One of the main goals of the Winter 2026 season is to prepare players for larger field dimensions (50/70), lead-offs, balks, pickoffs, and full baseball rules, something Little League & REC play does NOT prepare them for as they age up. If your player has the desire to play above Little League or REC this is your time to get into a great program that will develop them for their future. If your player is already playing club level play that is great! The players will be challenged while having a great time playing AA level baseball.
Season Dates/Location
The league games begin mid January 2027, however we will begin practices mid-November 2026 in order to fine tune our skills and provide instruction on the different baseball rules the players will be exposed to. The season will last thru March 1st, 2027. The players will practice at least 2 times a week for 2-3 hours per practice. We will be extremely mindful of holiday weeks for the season with our practice planning. Games and practices will be in Gilbert, AZ on fields and at facilities.
So How Much Will It Cost?
Unlike Little Leagues and REC ball there are no reduced costs to club teams by the cities and towns for field and facility rentals, we have to pay full price. We also only roster 10-12 kids per season per team. Little League & REC registers anyone, which is typically in the hundreds. This means less funds coming in to spread the costs of operating club teams.
For the Winter 2026 season, the total cost to practice and play in the league games for each players' family is $740. The fee includes league registration, jersey/hat, and field/facility rentals.
If an offer is made, we will require a first payment of $350 of the total fee to be made in order to secure a spot on the roster. We plan to make all offers by November 8th, 2026 with a 2 day deadline of acceptance/payment in order to get the season started. We certainly do not want to pressure any family, we just have a team(s) to build and practices to start. The remaining season fee balance is payable in 3 payments of $130 each, one due December 1st, 2027, the second due January 1st, 2027, and third due February 1st, 2027.
We handle team registration, uniforms and all field/facility rentals. Any funds paid go towards the league registration, uniform, and facility/field rentals. We are not a profit driven club, we are a development of character and baseball skills driven club.
What Can The Winter Season Turn Into?
We are seeking to build an excellent 11U AA baseball teams for the Spring 2027 season. Our plan is to use the open practices to identify players not only for the Winter 2026 season, but transition those teams into the Spring 2027, playing in tournaments (1-2 tournaments a month) and possibly in league play (if time/schedules allow). If you like what we do in the Winter season, we want you to have a club home for the future. Any player that is part of a winter season team will be considered a part of the Spring 2027 season team should you decide you want to stay a part of our club family.
